El Proyecto Vitrinas del MUSAC acogerá a partir del 11 de julio de 2009 a Printed Matter, la mayor organización sin ánimo de lucro del mundo dedicada a la promoción de publicaciones realizadas por artistas. AA Bronson, Director de la organización y comisario de esta muestra, creará para MUSAC un escaparate en el que el público podrá conocer de primera mano algunas de sus más representativas publicaciones –desde 1976 hasta nuestros días—, incluyendo grandes libros de artista, libros de pequeño formato, revistas, catálogos, así como otros objetos artísticos editados por la organización. Asimismo, se realizará una edición de 3.000 ejemplares de la chapa Learn to Read Art (Aprender a Leer Arte) creada por el artista Lawrence Weiner para Printed Matter, que se repartirán de forma gratuita durante la inauguración hasta agotar existencias.

 

Starting July 11 2009 MUSAC’s Showcase project will be featuring Printed Matter, the largest non-profit organisation in the world devoted to promoting publications made by artists. AA Bronson, the organization’s director and the curator of this show, will create a display for MUSAC so that visitors will be able to get to know some of its most representative publications —dating from 1976 to our day— including large artists’ books, small format books, and magazines, catalogues and other artists’ editions produced by the organization. Also, an edition of 3.000 copies of the badge Learn to Read Art, created for Printed Matter by artist Lawrence Weiner, will be produced and distributed for free on the opening day.
