El Laboratorio 987 del MUSAC presenta el próximo 26 de junio el proyecto Para ser construidos, una muestra colectiva que pretende utilizar la doble vertiente conceptual y lingüística del término “construcción” para ejemplificar, por un lado, una relación con lo urbano y, por otro, consideraciones identitarias. Los artistas que participan en esta muestra -Marcelo Cidade, Marcius Galan, André Komatsu, Nicolás Robbio y Carla Zaccagnini-  provienen del contexto brasileño, pero la muestra no pretende ofrecer una visión del panorama artístico brasileño actual, aunque reflexiona sobre la construcción de ciertos conceptos en torno a la identidad, tanto en el arte como en el contexto urbano. Esta muestra establece  sus bases en las relaciones entre el arte y la sociedad, y por lo tanto entre el arte y la política. Para ser construidos se enmarca en el contexto de la muestra Modelos para Armar. Pensar Latinoamérica desde la Colección MUSAC, con motivo de  la cual toda la programación, tanto expositiva como de actividades, del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León se concentrará sobre  América Latina entre los meses de junio y diciembre de 2010.

On June 26th the MUSAC’s Laboratorio 987 will be presenting the project Para ser construidos (To be Built), a group show whose concept embraces the double conceptual and linguistic aspect of the term “construction” to exemplify a relation with urban factors on the one hand and considerations of identity on the other. The artists participating in this show—Marcelo Cidade, Marcius Galan, André Komatsu, Nicolás Robbio and Carla Zaccagnini—arise from the Brazilian context, yet the show is not intended as a vision of the current Brazilian art scene. It is a reflection on the construction of certain concepts of identity, in art as well as in the urban setting. This show is based on the relations between art and society, and therefore between art and politics. Para ser construidos will be on exhibit within the framework of the show Model Kits. Thinking Latin America from the MUSAC Collection, on the occasion of which, June through December 2010, the entire programme of exhibitions and activities at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León will be focusing on Latin America.
