El Laboratorio 987 de MUSAC inicia el próximo 28 de enero el ciclo expositivo La forma y el querer-decir comisariado por Leire Vergara y estructurado en torno a tres exposiciones monográficas de los artistas Hiwa K, Carme Nogueira, Alejandra Riera,  y un proyecto colectivo de los artistas leoneses Nilo Gallego, Silvia Zayas y Chus Domínguez.Inicia el ciclo la primera exposición individual en España del artista y músico kurdo iraquí Hiwa K titulada Por unos cuantos calcetines llenos de canicas. La muestra comprendeuna selección de obras recientes, proyectos en curso y una performance que reflejan los intereses particulares del artista respecto a la circulación de las formas culturales, los modos de conocimiento informal y la correlación entre elementos migratorios y locales.

El ciclo expositivo toma su nombre del ensayo de Jaques Derrida La forma y el querer-decir: Nota sobre la fenomenología del lenguaje(1967), que sirve como punto de arranque teórico a partir del cual introducir una serie de prácticas artísticas interesadas no sólo en las formas que rigen nuestra manera de concebir la realidad, sino en todos aquellos procesos críticos que las evidencian y las cuestionan.

On January 28th MUSAC’s Laboratorio 987 initiates its exhibition series Form and Meaning curated by Leire Vergara and structured around three monographic exhibitions by the artists Hiwa K., Carme Nogueira and Alejandra Riera, and a collective project by the artists from León Nilo Gallego, Silvia Zayas and Chus Domínguez.The series is launched with the first solo show in Spain by the Kurdish artist and musician Hiwa K., titled For a Few Socks of Marbles. The exhibition comprises a selection of recent works, on-going projects and a performance that reflect the particular interests of the artist with respect to the circulation of culture, means of informal knowledge, and contacts between migratory and vernacular forms.

The exhibition series gets its name from the essay by Jacques Derrida Form and Meaning: A Note on the Phenomenology of Language (1967), which serves as a theoretical departure point from which to introduce a series of artistic practices interested not only in the forms that govern our way of conceiving reality, but also in all those reflective processes that bear witness to them and shift them.
